Over the past three decades Ashley has developed over 500 home sites, either for its own homebuilding clients or other builders. In determining the building density for the overall property or the building envelope of a specific lot, aspects that need to be researched and/or taken into consideration include local zoning regulations, required setbacks, forest conservation easements, utility, sewer and electrical easements, drainage, geological conditions, well or septic systems, flood plains, and planned community restrictions.
At Ashley, we are experienced at working through the various challenges inherent in the land development process, and regularly work with architectural and engineering consultants to remediate any site problems or barriers to obtaining a building permit.
